Effective 5 September 2026. By using ctlogs.dev, api.ctlogs.dev or account.ctlogs.dev you agree to these terms.
ctlogs.dev is a search engine and API over the public Certificate Transparency record, provided by APPS34, SARL, 48 Rue Claude Balbastre, 34070 Montpellier, France (RCS Montpellier 944 081 553), [email protected]. "We" and "us" mean APPS34; "you" means the person or organization using the service.
Anonymous use of the website and the API, and the free API key from the account cabinet, are for non-commercial use — testing, research, personal and open-source projects — within the published rate limits (one request in flight per client and a shared queue for keyless traffic; some searches, such as zone-wide ones, require a key).
API keys raise those limits and carry a monthly quota of API credits (organization and public-key searches cost ten), as documented on api.ctlogs.dev. Keys are issued through the account cabinet or by e-mail. Commercial use — using the service in a product, a paid service or the operations of a business — requires a key on a paid plan; prices and quotas are those stated when the plan is agreed and may change for future periods with notice. Paid plans are invoiced by APPS34 under the terms stated on the invoice; unpaid plans may be suspended.
Your account and key. You are responsible for keeping your key secret and for all use made with it; rotate it from the dashboard if it leaks. One account per person; an account may hold one active key. We may raise or adjust limits on request.
Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas or access controls (for example by rotating IP addresses or keys to multiply free usage), do not load the service in a way that degrades it for others, do not scrape the website where the API exists for the purpose, and do not use the service for anything unlawful. We may throttle, suspend or revoke access, with or without notice, when these rules are broken or when the service is at risk; we will tell you why when we can.
The certificates, names and log records we serve come from public Certificate Transparency logs and are provided as we received them. We work to make the index complete and fresh and publish coverage figures, but we give no guarantee that it is complete, accurate or current, and its contents do not constitute advice. Results you retrieve are yours to use, subject to any rights third parties hold in the underlying certificates.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". The free tier comes with no service-level commitment; for paid plans, any availability commitment is the one stated in the plan. To the fullest extent permitted by law, APPS34 is not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit or data, or for decisions taken on the basis of the data served, and its total liability for any paid plan is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under French law.
We may change the service, these terms and the plans; material changes to paid plans take effect at the next billing period, and we will announce material changes to these terms on this page with a new effective date. You may stop using the service at any time, and ask us by e-mail to delete your account. We may end or suspend the service, or your access to it, for the reasons above or if we discontinue the service, in which case prepaid, unused periods on paid plans are refunded.
How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.
These terms are governed by French law. Disputes that cannot be settled amicably are submitted to the competent courts of Montpellier, France, without prejudice to the mandatory rights of consumers under their own law.
